I felted!

This is the tote bag's outer pocket after felting. It was knit with Paton's Classic Wool Merino Yarn on size 11 needles, double stranded. The image below was taken while wet and I'll post another, if it changes after drying. After felting, the knitted crisp stitch edges blur and become part of surrounding stitches ... it's unpredictable. Also, the experts write that a small swatch of knitting felts differently than a larger piece and the knitted piece will shrink more in the height than in the width. This is true for the felted pocket: 20% narrower and 23% shorter than before felting. This was so much fun to do! Next .... the bag.
